How we make money.
Our guides and tools are free. GoldInvesting is a Barcelia LLC company, and it earns money when a reader we refer asks a gold IRA company for information or becomes its customer. Here is the full picture, in line with the Federal Trade Commission’s guides on endorsements.
Who pays us
We have one affiliate partner today: Augusta Precious Metals, a gold and silver IRA company. If you click one of our links to Augusta and ask it for information, or later become its customer, Augusta may pay us. Depending on the arrangement that can be a flat fee for a qualifying information request, a share of a purchase, or both.
The money comes from Augusta. You pay nothing extra, and the price Augusta quotes you is the same whether you arrive through us or not.
Advertising
We don’t show display ads. If that ever changes, we’ll say so here and in our privacy policy before the first ad appears.
How paid links are labeled
- Every button that leads to Augusta sits in a box headed “The gold IRA company we refer readers to”, with a note that it’s a paid link.
- Guides that name a company we’re paid by say so under the title.
- Paid links are marked
rel="sponsored", the label Google asks sites to use, so search engines treat them as advertising. - The description of Augusta in that box uses Augusta’s own approved wording.
What payment doesn’t change
- The facts in our guides. Costs, rules and price swings are stated the same way whoever they affect.
- Our calculators. They work only from the numbers you enter and today’s price.
- What we say about other companies. Their figures come from their own pages and are credited to them.
No company reviews our guides before they’re published, and none can pay to change them.

We refer readers to one company so that the recommendation means something. How we check companies explains what we read, including what we haven’t done yet.
